New Style
Field formatting (punctuation, author style) will follow the base style. Only field order changes.
Casing & Formatting
Controls how title text and field labels appear in the formatted citation.
Expand: turns "N Engl J Med" into "New England Journal of Medicine". Abbreviate: turns full names into NLM-style short forms (no periods).
Uses a built-in lookup of 200+ journals plus ISO 4 word patterns as fallback.
Author Formatting
Controls how long author lists are truncated in the formatted citation. Default values pre-fill based on the selected base style.
Show all authors up to this count; truncate if list exceeds it.
How many authors to display before the et al. / ellipsis.
Field Order per Reference Kind
Drag to reorder, toggle to include/exclude. Leave blank to inherit from base style.
Delete Style
Are you sure you want to delete this style? This cannot be undone.

Special markers
Field order (per kind)
Drag to reorder, toggle to include/exclude. Inherits the base style's order until you change it. (Coming next iteration.)
Field reordering UI will appear here. Schema slot already exists in the profile.
Casing protection
Comma-separated terms whose casing must be preserved through any title-case or sentence-case transform. e.g. DNA, RNA, mRNA, PCR, mTOR, pH
Test against a sample reference
Paste a sample ref. The compliance check will run live against the rules above so you can validate the profile before saving.
